Hello and welcome to my corner of the internet! My name is Steven. I am a consultant, licensed counselor, and all-around listener. If you’re here, you’re probably looking for insights into the benefits of therapy. Over the years, I have sat across from hundreds of people (individuals, couples, and families), each bringing their own unique stories, struggles, and even sufferings. One thing that has always inspired me is the common threads that we all share. No matter how different we maybe on the outside, we all share the desire of happiness. So, what can you expect here? My therapeutic approach is a mix of life lessons, practical interventions, and the occasional story from my years in practice (all anonymous, of course!). I will share the truths I’ve seen about relationships, mental health, and self-care — the kind of stuff we’re all a little afraid to talk about openly. So how does therapy help change lives? There are many ways that therapy help change lives but here are just three to ponder:
It provides a safe space for an individual, couple, or family to express themselves in a nonjudgmental environment.
It provides a space to process thoughts and feelings.
It provides practical interventions to help move the needle from helplessness to hope.Today’s lesson? Life isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress.
